WHAT YOU MIGHT HAVE MISSED
* Warren Buffett expects the debt ceiling to be raised. "That's a level of immaturity that I don't believe even this Congress is up to," Buffett said.
* A new poll conducted for the National Republican Senatorial Committee and appointed Sen. Dean Heller (R-Nev.) shows Heller leading Rep. Shelley Berkley (D-Nev.) 48 percent to 44 percent in a prospective 2012 matchup. The Tarrance Group poll also shows Republicans leading Democrats on the generic ballot, 46 percent to 43 percent. A Democratic poll last month showed Berkley leading 42 percent to 38 percent.
* Nevada state Assembly Speaker John Oceguera announced Monday that he will run for Congress. It's not clear which Las Vegas-area seat Oceguera will run for though, with the state adding a seat and the congressional map still in flux.
* Freshman Rep. Chip Cravaack (R-Minn.), who has criticized his 2010 and 2012 opponents for being out of touch with his district, is moving his children to New Hampshire so that they can be closer to their mother's job.
* Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus accuses President Obama of filming a campaign-related video in the White House and has asked Attorney General Eric Holder to investigate whether a crime was committed.

 

WHAT YOU SHOULDN'T MISS
* It looks like former Louisiana governor Buddy Roemer (R) will make his presidential campaign official on Thursday. Also, he's moving to New Hampshire. Roemer is not accepting contributions any higher than $100, and he only raised $42,000 for his exploratory committee in the second quarter.
* There are some whispers that a deal on the debt limit may be getting closer.
* Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) signs on to Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell's (R-Ky.) solution to the debt limit situation.
* Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) says the Senate will meet every day until the debt limit situation is resolved.
* A new poll from the Washington Post and Pew Research Center shows Americans have little faith in their congressional leaders when it comes to the debt limit.
